Elephants live in families groups called herds, the group mainly consists of related female elephants.The leader of the group is called the Matriarch, she is usually the oldest and most experienced female. The only males in the herd are the calves, the young male calves will stay with the herd until they are about 12 to 15 years old, then they will leave the herd to live a solitary life like most male elephants.
Cows are great domesticated animals friendly, intelligent and they provide us with a lot of essentials, like food, leather, manure that can be used for fuel and fertilizer.
An adult male giraffe can reach a height of 5.5 meters.Males are bigger and taller than the females.A female giraffe is about 4.3 meters tall.The giraffe’s neck and legs each can be up to six feet long. The height of a giraffe helps them to reach food high up in the trees and also to keep a watch out for predators like hyenas, lions, and African wild dogs.
Their feet are well adapted to walk-in the desert conditions ,they have large wide feet and can walk in the hot sand for a long period of time. Camels are herbivores, they eat plant-based food and can eat all types of vegetation, there mouth is adapted to eat some thorney plants, which other animals would avoid eating. Camels don’t eat meat
Cattle are mainly raised for meat, milk and other dairy products such as cheese, butter, yogurt etc. Many parts of the world people still use cattle that pull carts, ploughs the land for farming, Cattle dung is used for fuel, manure and sometimes used to plaster walls mixed with mud.
A camel is a mammal that is easily recognized by its characteristic. It has humps and long legs.The Dromedary camels and the Bactrian camels make up the two main species of camels in the world. The Dromedary or the Arabian Camel which has one hump and are found mainly in the middle east and the northeastern countries of Africa, and the Bactrian Camel has two humps, they inhabit in the central Asian regions.
There are sheep with horns and there are sheep that are wild, some live in the mountains to protect themselves from predators.sheep are herbivores and all breeds of sheep eat grass. Sheep are tough animals in that they can survive harsh climates both hot, dry and cold environments.
Giraffes are easily recognizable, by its long neck and long legs with orange or brown spotted shapes on a white or tan coat.They are the tallest living animals on land.Other characteristics of a giraffe are they have a long tail, long tongue, two small horns known as ossicones and a pair of small ears.
Elephants with babies have help from other elephants in the herd. An elephant lives for about seventy years.Elephants are herbivores, they will only eat, grass and fruit, tree bark, bananas, peanuts and other plant-based food– they don’t eat meat.
In the social structure of wolves, the Alpha pair of wolves are the leaders in the pack the Alpha male and the female are dominant over the whole pack. The alpha pair is the only wolves in the pack that breed and give birth to puppies, and are the first ones to eat after a hunt.
In the central and south Americas, there is still a large population of indigenous Indians, They speak several different languages, some features of their culture and tradition is still in practice today
At birth, the pups are blind and deaf. It will take about eight months before the pups are old enough to join the pack for hunts. A female wolf is called a bitch and the male is called a dog, the babies are called puppies.
